Warming Up Wednesday

As we get into league play, it appears that most games will be Thursday through Saturday, because, I guess these kids need to go to class Monday through Wednesday. We will follow this closely as we get past the first semester finals. There are so many freshman and sophomores who will be pro next year, that their teams will excel in the second semester when they can start working out all day and not worry about class work.

There are a few major mismatches out there in the traditional city rivalry games. I am looking for some home teams to get healthy going into league.

Boston College -4.5 vs UMass. This is a talented ACC team that will punish their crosstown rival. Again, my man Tyrese Rice will carry the load! 2*

Xavier -19.5 vs Cincinatti. This is not the Cinci of old. They are 0-6 ATS this year, and looking at their upcoming schedule and league play, they could be 5-26 this year. If they haven't thrown in the towel yet, it will happen soon. They opened this year with a 10 point loss at home to Belmont, and it has gotten worse from there! 2*

Surprise Play 2*
Ohio +8 vs Maryland. This line opened at +9.5 and the smart money is moving it. Ohio is 5-0 ATS this year and a solid experienced team. They will keep this a single digit game. Maryland does not have the capable big men this year to blow this team out.

There must be a trick here, but I am still forced to make this play.

Vanderbilt -3 vs Depaul. Vandy is looking to start the season 10-0. Depaul did a great job to not lose by 20 to Kansas their last time out. This Vandy team has a mountain of confidence after last years finish and this years start, they win this game outright, and a great free-throwing team will always cover 3 points! 2*

Good Gaming,
