Slim Pickins

Something tells me the NCAA Hoops is about to take off, because Monday and Tuesday have been a very slim selection of games.

Money has turned me on to the great Basketball Ranking system of Ken Pomeroy, and if you use this site wisely you can find his rankings. His system seems to be quite adept at finding easy covers, which is really the most important part of the game!

A few winners:

(If you can find a line on this one)
Yale -2 vs Boston University. Yale is a solid team this year, and clearly the stronger team playing at home. The Ivy league bias will keep this line low, but they win and cover!

St. Mary's +4.5 vs Southern Illinois. This is a tough road game, but this is not the same Salukis! The Gaels will blow into town with little or no fear, and this win will solidify there #24 ranking. They could break the top 20 by next Monday!

Bradley -2 vs Wright St. Wright State was good to us last week, upsetting Butler. However, this will be a letdown game as it has no league implications. The Missouri Valley teams don't want to let the Horizon League challenge them for the best Mid-Major Conference title!
